Basic Service
SCRC basic service for senior citizen includes fact-checking sources, public benefits counseling, and assistance with services or programs.
Many older individuals exist on a fixed income with limited opportunities to socialize. They experience isolation and a lack of a community base. SCRC will enhance the dignity and independance of every individual.
Information & Referral
Information is the process of providing valid current data/facts to older individuals or a person inquiring on behalf of an older person of available resources, services, or programs in the community.
Referrals are the process of linking, directing, or connecting older individuals with appropriate agencies or community resources to obtain needed help and assistance.
Income Tax Service
SCRC partners with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to offer the Taxaide Program. The Taxaide Program is a free tax preparation program for low to moderate income seniors. Service will be available during tax season by appointment only. To make an appointment or additional information contact the SCRC.
